The Rescuers (1977) Disney movie Watch Disney Full Movie Online For Free Streaming Without Downloading

based on Margery Sharp books "The Rescuers" and "Miss Bianca", the 23rd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics. The first Disney film that combined the talents of Walt Disney's original crew of story writers and animators (including "Nine Old Men") with a newer crew recruited in the mid-1970s.

Story

The Rescue Aid Society is an international mouse organization headquartered in New York and shadowing the United Nations, dedicated to helping abduction victims around the world at large. Two of these mice, Bernard and Miss Bianca set out to rescue Penny, an orphan girl. The two mice discover that the girl has been kidnapped by the evil pawn shop owner Madame Medusa and her companion Mr. Snoops. On the back of Orville the albatross, Miss Bianca and Bernard travel to the terrifyingly gloomy Devil's Bayou island where they learn the shocking truth: The innocent young girl is being forced down into a dangerous, dark underground pirate's cave where she must find the Devil's Eye, the world's largest diamond and Madame Medusa's greatest obsession.

Songs from movie soundtrack

The Journey

music and lyrics by Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins, sung by Shelby Flint. The opening song expresses the lifeless object's desperate call for help when lost at sea instead of Penny's hope of being rescued.

Who will rescue me
Oh, who will rescue me
Who will rescue me
I'm lost at sea without a friend
This journey will it ever end
Who will rescue me
Rescue me, rescue me

Trivia

The Rescuers was also the first Disney animated film to feature a prologue, or part of the story prior to the opening credits sequence, making said sequence part of the storyline.
The Rescue Aid Society was originally the "Prisoners' Aid Society", just as it was in the original Margery Sharp novels.
Ellie Mae and the Swamp Folk were originally going to carry a small flag that said "Swamp Volunteers". This detail was dropped, since this would be the only time they would serve as rescuers.
The nine rescuers' names are: Bernard, Miss Bianca, Ellie Mae, Evinrude, Luke, Gramps, Deadeye, Deacon and Digger.
The Rescuers was successful upon its original theatrical release earning $48 million at the box office and becoming Disney's most successful film to that date.
